Dennis Quaid’s wife of eight years has filed for divorce.

According to reports, the paperwork was filed on March 2. A representative for the actor confirmed that the couple was indeed going through a divorce, but stated that both parties involved are handling the situation well. The couple have 4-year-old twins together, and there is currently a custody situation in place.

Quaid’s wife, Kimberly, is seeking a fair division of their assets in the divorce. This is the third marriage for Dennis Quaid who has previously been married to P.J. Soles and Meg Ryan.
